ATech, a leading Brisbane-based cloud hosting and web development company, today announced it has appointed Michael Burridge to the newly created role of Chief Financial Officer.

Burridge will be responsible for all financial and fiscal management aspects of ATech’s operations.

This includes managing the budgeting processes to monitor and evaluate costs, revenues and cash flows, and conducting financial analysis to identify the efficiency and effectiveness of business activities, and the profitability/contribution of different aspects of the business.

Burridge is an executive manager with a wealth of hands-on managerial and financial accounting experience developed over 35 years.

He has extensive experience with due diligence and evaluation for capital raising. His key areas of expertise include corporate governance and risk management, business reporting, financial management, fundraising and treasury management.

Burridge’s track record includes roles at Urban Xtreme Adventures (Australia’s largest adventure park), Airtrain Citylink, Implemented Portfolios and Licensys.

His ASX-listed experience includes Company Secretary and CFO of Industrea (formerly GPS Online, ASX: GPO).

“We are thrilled to welcome Michael Burridge to the team,” says Sarah-Jane Peterschlingmann, ATech’s owner and Managing Director.

“His well-developed skills in business analysis, taxation, consolidation, budgeting, HR and treasury will be very beneficial.

“Michael also has extensive experience in setting governance policy, automating processes and procedures, and the support of board functions.

“Michael is extremely strategic and has uncovered opportunities for ATech to introduce efficiencies and cost savings. He will be a valuable asset as we expand ATech.”

Burridge is a Chartered Secretary and a fellow of the Chartered Governance Institute. His raft of qualifications include a Master of Financial Management and Master of Business Administration from the University of Queensland.

“I am delighted to join ATech and have the opportunity to be a part of an Australian owned and operated success story. ATech is at the forefront of innovation and has a fantastic platform for growth,” Burridge says.

Burridge’s appointment as CFO follows the recent announcement of ATech’s inaugural board including Gary Linton as non-executive Chair plus Lil Bianchi and Kirsty McCann as non-executive Directors.
